With only a small amount in the account for a hall, we have turned our thoughts away from a traditional convention.
Truth be told, we never really intended a convention. For us, this all began when we were invited to BLAM (British Lead Adventure Meeting) in London 5 years ago. The event went on Thursday through Sunday in the back of a village pub. The games were stunning to look at and so creative. Tables were set up and left up for more play time. Gamers ate and drank all weekend. It just seemed like an event we needed to have in the States.
In Fall of 2021, we heard about the demise of Spring Recruits, and March to Victory was born. We originally tried a hybrid of BLAM and Recruits, but perhaps now it’s time to try March to Victory as we envisioned it.
March to Victory 2024 will be at Game Cafe. It will include 14 – 16 tables of wargaming Friday afternoon through Saturday night. We will pare down features like vendors and silent auction and just focus on what’s most important – GAMES! Ticket’s will remain low – $20. There are over 10 restaurants on the square to sample from.
